Thomas Parke Hughes (September 13, 1923〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.genealogybank.com/gbnk/ssdi/doc/news/14BE395105EB07A8 )〕 - February 3, 2014) was an American historian of technology. He was an emeritus professor of history at the University of Pennsylvania〔http://hss.sas.upenn.edu/people/hughes〕 and a visiting professor at MIT and Stanford.〔http://www.stanford.edu/dept/HPS/hughes.html〕 He received his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia in 1953. He, along with John B. Rae, Carl W.
